This jacket is super-light and as such is ideal for a really active day out in the hills such as fell running or fast nordic walking. It features a rollaway hood with pit zips venting and a handy zipped chest pocket, ideal for a phone. The jacket performed really well and is waterproof on test. The fabric is light and has a ripstop, box-type weave to it. Shock cord closure on bottom hem. The front zip also features a storm flap. Because it’s light it folds up to a useful small size. Rucksack harness compatible waterproof hand pockets, means you can get at them without taking your rucksack off.
FABRIC Pertex Shield
FIT Slim fit, room for layering but this jacket is more of an ‘fast and light’ jacket, so you are less likely to need extra layers underneath
OAG Likeys The fabric zip pulls with the sticky logo tabs on the ends of them make for a good grip and are great when wearing gloves
OAG No Likeys No real snags
Overall Performed solidly and coped with some very harsh wind and rain with ease. So light it is ideal for stowing in your rucksack for those ‘just in case’ days too.
